NCL's Kid's Crew Program
Our fun and flexible complimentary Kid's Crew Program is designed for kids from 2 to 17. The well-trained counselors offer and age-appropriate array of fun-filled options so kids can get as much excitement out of the cruise as you do. And on NCL, your kids can also learn while they are having fun! With everything from parties and video arcades to stimulating learning sessions, we provide so much fun we know your kids will have the trip of a lifetime! In addition to regularly scheduled hours on days at sea, NCL also offers group sitting for ages 2 to 12 with the Kid's Crew counselors for a nominal fee.

This exciting package quenches kids' desires with personalized souvenir cup and unlimited fountain sodas for the entire cruise. Each backpack also contains a baseball cap, sunglasses, luggage tags, and 'Kid's Crew Program' T-shirt. Actual backpacks may vary slightly in color, style and design.

In addition, the Kid's Crew Refillable Soda Fountain Cup offers personalized soda cup, telescopic plastic straw, and unlimited fountain sodas, and it can be purchased separately! And for teens ages 13 to 17, the Teen Passport Program offers 20 non-alcoholic drinks, including non-alcoholic smoothie in a 12-14 oz. glasses. The teen is also entitled to an afternoon dance party with the D.J., including pizza and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, and an invitation to a 'Farewell Frat Party' on the last evening of the cruise. Passports are not replaceable if lost.

NCL's Kid's Crew is a program of things to do, places to go and kids to meet. It's like recess, only longer. Sleep-away camp, only better. Because your children won't get homesick, but they also won't get underfoot. You can enjoy a massage while they're on a treasure hunt. Play roulette while they're camping out, or head for the Chocoholic Buffet while they're having a pillow fight at a pajama party.
Our staff of youth counselors from leading universities and organizations carefully supervises every minute they spend in Kid’s Crew. Prior to coming aboard, they attend a special training course on team and confidence building, communication skills, safety and working with children who have special needs. Together they've come up with an impressive bag of tricks for your kids.

There are circuses, crafts, parades, sports, games, stories and parties. Campouts with flashlights and tents, and cooking classes where they can make pizza or pancakes with funny faces. There are T-shirt painting, face painting and poolside root beer floats. Treasure hunts and sand castle competitions on our private island. And even shore excursions designed just for families. Of course we promise we'll give them plenty of time to spend with you, too. Shoot some hoops at the basketball court. Take them to the magic show. Let junior beat you at table tennis (or maybe try hard not to).

What's For Dinner?
That's for you to decide. You can make it a family affair in one of our elegant dining rooms, or have dinner for two while the kids are served up meatballs and spaghetti. We offer eight delicious children's menus to tempt the most finicky eaters. And of course, there's always peanut butter and jelly on hand, just in case.

As a matter of fact, it's a toss-up who loves Kid's Crew more. Because while they're doing their thing, you're free to do yours. An aerobics class? Step right up. An intimate dinner at Le Bistro? Follow me please. A few hands of blackjack? You bet.

As you can see, your kids won't be having all the fun. And since almost everything is included, your kids won't be constantly pestering you for money (And neither will we).

How are the kid's activities?
Activities are organized according to age group, as follows:

Junior Sailors (ages 2-5) Activities for Junior Sailors are now available year-round. Storytelling, T-shirt painting, arts and crafts, face painting, magic shows, and Circus amuse Junior Sailors at Sea. Outdoor and indoor games provide endless hours of fun.

First Mates (ages 6-8) Onboard NCL, First Mates participate in wacky cooking classes, decorative T-shirt painting, sing-alongs, and poolside root beer float parties. The 'Kid's Crew Program' program also coordinates on-shore activities including a treasure hunt and sandcastle building competition on NCL's private island.

Navigators (ages 9-12) Navigators test their skill at Sega and video games, and search for treasures on scavenger hunts. Evenings are filled with pajama parties, movies, and camp-outs with flashlights and tents.

Teens (ages 13-17) NCL entertains Teens throughout the daytime and into the evening. By day, Teens enjoy pool parties, volleyball and basketball; The Newly met Game, and trivia contests. Evenings are filled with NCL's Broadway-style shows and spectaculars, line dancing, teen disco, and special theme parties.

What does it include?
The 'Kid's Crew Program' program includes a plethora of supervised games, T-shirts for design painting, and a Mom and Dad's Night Out. Children receive their own Cruise News detailing daily events.

A complimentary chef's hat, also included in the program, is essential for creative cooking classes where children can make decorative pizzas or cookies. NCL's autograph/scrapbooks make perfect mementos of the kids' experiences and friendships. Junior cruisers can even celebrate their birthdays on the high seas with NCL's special 'Kid's Crew Program' birthday parties.

An exceptionally qualified staff of trained counselors run NCL's 'Kid's Crew Program' program in a safe and secure environment. The staff attends special training courses on team and confidence building, communication skills, safety, and working with children who have special needs. The fleet wide program is available year-round and is free of charge.
